Summer Camp at Happy Valley Children’s Ranch
Step into the excitement of Happy Valley Children’s Ranch Summer Camp! Engage your child in an enriching outdoor adventure filled with age-appropriate nature and science activities. Our meticulously planned day camp guarantees a harmonious blend of energy and creativity. Your young camper will acquire new skills, form enduring friendships, and carry home a trove of adventure stories.
Preschool Summer Camp (Ages 3 – 6)
Happy Valley Children’s Ranch is excited to offer Summer Camp. Have your child join us for an outdoor adventure filled with nature and science activities. Our summer day camp is specifically themed and programmed for campers ages 3-6 to match their energy and apply their creativity. At Happy Valley Children’s Ranch Summer Camp, your camper will develop new skills, make new friends, and bring home countless stories to share with you about their day. A healthy snack including a fruit and veggie will be provided along with water throughout the day. (If you have a student older than 6 please see below for our “big” kid summer camp offering).
Campers will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities including pony rides, science experiments, crafts, themed pretend play, and outdoor games. There are also some very special things planned:
- Fun with our Happy Valley Farm Friends! The children will love riding our miniature horses: Sky, Trixie, Rocket, Taz, and Orbit. They will also spend time with our farm friends: S’mores and Butterscotch (Goats), and Pigger Allan Poe (Pig).
- Water Days! (2 per session) – Two days filled with playing in the sprinkles, sliding down our inflatable water slides, kiddie pools, and water tables for children to experiment with and enjoy!
- “In-House” Field Trips – Where the field trip comes to Happy Valley! – Each year we bring a few “field trips” to Happy Valley. Examples of past “field trips” include visits from the Denver Aquarium as well as a local breadmaker.
Summer camps run for 3 hours each, 2 days per week. These classes are offered in the mornings and afternoons on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
June Session – June 9-26
July Session – July 7-24
Summer camp is $425 per session with an optional $10 fee if you would like to order a white Happy Valley T-shirt for Tie-Dye Day – if you’re attending the June session.
A deposit of $200 is due at the time of registration to hold your spot.
Want a Discount??? Students who register for both the June and July Sessions will receive $50 off the total cost of both sessions. Students must be registered for both camps by April 1st.

“Big” Kid Summer Camp (Ages 7-10)
Happy Valley is offering “big kid” camp again in 2026! While this camp has a similar feel to our preschool camp – campers spend significantly more time with the ponies – learning equestrian basics, grooming, and tack – and other activities are enhanced to be age appropriate for older campers.
Campers will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities including animal care, science experiments, and themed crafts/games. While this will have a very similar to our preschool summer camps, activities are more age-appropriate with a significant emphasize on the animals – including how to clean hooves, saddle and unsaddle a pony, braid manes, basic grooming, and pony knowledge.
This is a great opportunity for former Happy Valley students to return to the school but not feel like they are doing “little” kid activities. Groups will be limited to 10 children – 2 kids per pony – allowing for more direct participation in animal care activities.
Big kid camp participates in all “in-house” field trips and water days mentioned with preschool camp.
(Please note that due to the small size of our ponies – pony rides are not planned for this age group).
